Among high mountains opens a gorge that is home to the rural style houses exquisitely.
The natural environment is wild and breathes the atmosphere of the valley, where in winter you can ski on slopes of varying difficulty and summer walks are unforgettable, between pastures that still shows its best also in construction.
The typical house with attached barn are enriched with large trunks, one above the other stuck in the corners and the large fireplace in the center was used to cook traditional dishes that are not forgotten.
You'll be spoiled for choice as to excursions Tartano lies at the confluence of the Val Short and Long Valley, its surroundings are old and the old mule tracks seem to tell stories of pastors who lead the cows to pasture and people devout, accustomed to the toil of work.
Many churches to visit, before sitting down at table to enjoy meals in the mountains, such as cheese Bitto, which is produced here.
